I’m a 20 something Sydneysider who finds respite in book buying and reading. When I find the time, I post about it on my blog. My reading tastes include crime fiction, literary fiction, 19th century novels, short stories and varied non-fiction including biography, history, science and true crime.

I enjoy reading your blog!
I agree, this is a great blog. Keep it up.
I still have a couple of proof copies left. Drop me an e-mail and I’ll send you one. There are about a dozen typos in it but other than that it’s fine.
I love your blog and this new format is very neat, I like the way it looks.
Hi there
I have recently announced the establishment of a directory of Australian Book Bloggers. If you are interested, you can find more details here
Hello fellow 20 year old book reading Sydneysider! I like your blog, not just for our similarities
Popped into you blog after finding the link on “His Futile Preoccupations”. Lucky me–your blog looks great. I loved the photos/illustrations of your favorite authors ; among them I saw several old friends (Austen, Munroe, Trollope & Atkinson), two total strangers (Temple and Camilleri–must check them out) and a couple on my “to be read” list (Malouf & Winterson). I noticed from your most current posting that you’re reading Trollope’s Palliser novels. Isn’t Trollope a wonderful writer? He’s one of my “go to” guys when I want to read something substantial but traditional in style and with a great story. I’m always amazed by how well Trollope does female characters–he’s quite preceptive and sympathetic. I did my own “Palliser Reading Project” many years back, when I had a bit more time, and regard it as one of my great reading experiences. The books are just filled with great characters, many of them female. I can’t remember the volume in which she first makes an appearance (it may be Phineas Finn), but have you met Madame Max yet? I love her! (I believe some literary critic or other referred to her in an essay as “the greatest gentleman” in all of Trollope’s novels. ) Happy readidng and I’ll look forward to your reviews.
I like your blog and would ask you to review my new novel, but I think it might not be to your taste. I’ll still read your reviews
